HARRISBURG, Pa. — Friends, family and colleagues are mourning after a retired firefighter died over the weekend.
Firefighter Daniel Eugene “Wolfey” Wolfe, 52, died March 5 at home. He was an active member of the IAFF Local 428 Union and Pennsylvania Professional Fire Fighter’s Association.
“Wolfe lived out a childhood dream to be a firefighter, and a good one at that,” Buck Powden wrote on Wolfe’s memorial page. “He was a genuine, down-to-earth guy. He was a fireman’s fireman. Dan was there. He had your back.”
Wolfe served the Harrisburg Fire Department, the Paxtang Fire Company and Mount Pleasant Fire Company, reported PennLive.
He leaves behind two brothers, including his twin, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Visitation services will be held Thursday and Friday; funeral services are set for Friday, according to Legacy.
