JACSKSON, Tenn. — A retired firefighter died Monday morning in a house fire.
Associated Press reported that Joe Collins, 72, was at his home of 30 years when a fire broke out. Firefighters responded to the call and found him during a primary search, according to Madison County Fire Department Chief Eric Turner.
Officials believe an electrical failure involving the multi-plug outlet in the living room caused the fire.
Investigators found no evidence of foul play, and the home was equipped with a working smoke alarm.
