MANHEIM TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Firefighter-paramedic Michael Golden Jr., 32, from York, Pa., died Wednesday evening in a vehicle crash.
Golden was driving a Volkswagen Jetta on a two-way street when reportedly he crossed the center line, striking a Jeep Wrangler in a head-on collision, the Evening Sun reported.
Golden, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, died of multiple blunt-force trauma at the scene, according to the coroner.
The other driver, whose identity was not disclosed, was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Responders were called in for a crash with ejection and fire, the York Dispatch reported.
Golden was a paramedic with Hanover Hospitals (Pa.) Medic 46 and a firefighter with Anne Arundel County (Md.) Fire Department.
