JEFFERSON COUNTY, W.Va. — A firefighter had to be rescued after falling nearly 75 feet down a cliff in a National Park area Tuesday evening while battling a large brush fire.
Rescue crews were able to reach the firefighter and began treating him, Your4State reported. There has been no word on the firefighter’s condition yet.
Crews from multiple counties were on scene assisting in the rescue effort.
The incident is under investigation and the brush fire was later put out.
