DAMMAM, Saudi Arabia — Two firefighters died and six people were injured in a massive fire that gutted a supermarket Saturday.
ArabNews.com reported that the two firefeighters were identified as Mohammed Al-Qahtani and Mubarak Al-Khalifa.
Col. Mansour Al-Dossari said most damage occurred on the ground floor of the mall, adding that 20 firefighting teams took part in the operation to control the blaze, according to the report.
Col. Al-Dossari extended his condolences to the families of the fallen firefighters and commended their service of the country and its people, according to the report.
