LAWRENCEBURG, Tenn. — A firefighter died Monday after becoming trapped in a burning house.

Tennessean reported that Lawrenceburg Fire Department firefighter Jason Dickey was helping battle a house fire when part of the home collapsed.

A Mayday call was made after Dickey and two other firefighters became trapped in the home.

“Our prayers are going out to the Lawrence Fire Dept. family and to the family of Jason Dickey for the tragic loss of our brother,” Tennessee Fire and Codes Enforcement Agency said in a Facebook post. “Prayers for the two firefighters injured.”

The incident is currently under investigation.
