BAYONNE, N.J. — A firefighter was hospitalized Saturday while battling a warehouse blaze sparked by a solar panel.
The two-alarm fire began on the warehouse’s roof, where is spread to the inside of the building, Bayonne Battalion Chief Frank Pawlowski told the Journal News.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze several hours later.
“We were able to contain it to one 50-by-50 foot area, and we were able to control it and eventually extinguish it,” Pawlowski said.
No other injuries were reported.
