KULPMONT, Pa. — A fire chief was rescued after falling through a floor Sunday morning.

WNEP reported that the fire started on the top floor of a double block home and later jumped next door. Chief Mike Snyder fell through a third-floor stairway, crashing down two levels. Fellow firefighters helped him to safety.

Chief Snyder, who initially declined treatment, went to the hospital Sunday. He is expected to be OK.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
