GREENVILLE, S.C. — The Gantt District Fire Department station No. 2 in Greenville County is coming to the rescue of one of their own.
One of their firefighters, who lives in Pickens County, became a victim of a fire earlier this week. Now that brotherhood of firefighters is looking to help him rebuild.
Chad Nalley, an engineer with the Gantt District Fire Department No. 2, is used to sitting in the driver seat and fighting fires. “It’s a whole different story being on the other side,” Nalley said. He never thought that one day it would be his home engulfed in flames.
