ARLINGTON, Texas — Video shows firefighters battling a fast-moving and explosive fire that consumes two homes.
The camera man follows a plume of black smoke to find firefighters engaged in a fire that spread from the initial home to a house on its D side. About mid-way into the video, one of the home where the fire originated explodes.
The three-alarm blaze left no one seriously injured, according to WFAA.
The homeowner of the exploding home was able to escape with his dog. He was sent to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
Investigators say an unattended fireplace was the likely cause of the fire.
It took firefighters about 25 minutes to extinguish the blaze.
