Video: Firefighters take cover from exploding ammo
Firefighters were manning the lines when ammunition from a burning warehouse started to blow up
SANTIAGO, Chile — Video shows firefighters tackling a massive blaze at a warehouse when ammunition starts exploding, forcing them to take cover.
Crews were fighting the fire at the Army War College last Tuesday, when the heat and flames caused ammunition to blow up while they were still trying to extinguish the blaze, according to reports.
Popping sounds like fireworks and bullets can be heard as the firefighters run and crouch behind walls to escape the blasts.
Millions of dollars in damage have been reported, and three firefighters were injured.
