BATAVIA, N.Y. — Two former Batavia firefighters and a hospital worker who pleaded guilty to running a sports gambling ring will not be going to prison.
Firefighters Gregory Phillips and Brian Bordinaro and Lance Engel were all given 120 days in a weekend work program. They were also fined $1,000 and given three years probation.
Both firefighters lost their pensions and jobs.
