NY volunteer department treasurer accused of stealing $10K from funds

Andrew Cushman, 25, faces a felony charge for allegedly stealing from the department’s bank accounts

PLYMOUTH, N.Y. — The treasurer for a volunteer fire department faces a felony charge after he allegedly stole more than $10,000 from the department’s bank accounts.

WKTV reported that Andrew Cushman, 25, with the Plymouth Volunteer Fire Department is charged with felony grand larceny in the third degree.

According to officials, firefighter Cushman, a member and treasurer of the department, allegedly stole more than $10,000 from the fire department’s accounts, according to the report.

He was arraigned at the Plymouth court and released with no bail required, according to the report.
