Ex-cop shoots Fla. firefighter, road rage possible cause

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — A former Flagler Beach police officer was arrested early Saturday morning after shooting a Flagler County firefighter in what is believed to be a road rage incident. It happened Friday night, along U.S. 1 just north of Watson Road.

According to investigators, Nathaniel Juratovac and Jared Parkey became angry with one another after some type of traffic incident.

That’s when St. Johns Sheriff’s deputies said Juratovac, 40, pulled out a gun and shot the 30-year-old Parkey, who resides in St. Augustine.
