CHELSEA, Mass. — A Massachusetts teacher is recovering from head injuries after a large tree limb fell on his car while he ate breakfast in a parking lot near his school.
Matthew Bennington, a 37-year-old teacher at Clark Avenue School in Chelsea, was released from the hospital Monday. The tree limb had fallen across his car earlier that day, smashing the roof and trapping him inside. Chelsea police and firefighters were called to get him out.
Bennington told WBZ-TV he felt lucky not to have been more badly hurt.
Investigators are not yet sure what caused the limb to fall.
