The man was uninjured and refused any medical treatment; the rescue took about two hours

PRESCOTT, Ariz. — A man rappelling off boulder formations was rescued by firefighters after he ran out of rope on his way down.

ABC15.com reported that crews from the Prescott and Central Yavapai fire departments responded to the incident around 2:40 p.m. on Saturday.

The man was found stranded on a ledge approximately 30 feet off the ground and was unable to continue his descent due to a shortage of rope.

A firefighter was lowered to the man, who attached him to the rescue team’s system, and freed the man from his own original climbing system.

The firefighter and victim were then lowered to the ground.

The man was uninjured and refused any medical treatment.

The rescue took about two hours.
