NEWNAN, Ga. — A firefighter was hospitalized and is in stable condition after being trapped under a tree.

The Newnan Times-Herald reported that Lt. Adam Moss of the Coweta County Fire Rescue Department was clearing a tree from a road when a large portion snapped and fell on him, according to Chief Pat Wilson.

Moss was airlifted to a hospital and is in the ICU.

“The department has staff at the hospital assisting his family with their needs during this difficult time,” Chief Wilson said. “We are asking that you keep Lt. Moss and his family in your thoughts and prayers.”
