Wife of fallen Ariz. firefighter gives birth

Jax is the first of three babies expected that the fallen firefighters had fathered

PRESCOTT, Ariz. — The wife of a fallen Arizona Hotshots firefighter gave birth to their son Thursday.

AZCentral reported that Amanda Misner, who was married to Sean Misner, was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday. Sean Misner died along with 18 others in the Yarnell Hill Fire on June 30.

Their son, named Sean Jaxon Herbet Misner, was born at 8:13 p.m. Thursday in Prescott Valley, according to the report. They will call him Jax for short.

Three of the Hotshots firefighters’ wives had been expecting babies and Jax is the first to arrive, according to the report. Billy Warneke’s wife, Roxanne, is expecting a girl in December. Anthony Rose’s fiancée, Tiffany Hettrick, is expecting a girl in October.

Amanda Misner and the baby were doing fine Thursday night and Sean’s mother, Tammy Misner, cried with joy when she found out how soon she would meet her first grandchild, according to the report.

“My baby boy’s baby boy!” she said.
