LEXINGTON, Mass. — Firefighters saved a man trapped in a piece of construction equipment trying to clear snow amid a massive blizzard Tuesday morning.
Boston Herald reported that the man, who is a private contractor, was removing snow with a Bobcat when he got pinned in the machine’s lifting arms.
Police Lt. Jim Barry said firefighters and officials from the town’s Department of Public Works were able to extricate the man only after taking pieces of the machine apart. Lt. Barry said he did not have immediate information on the man’s condition. Fire officials said he was taken to a nearby hospital.
The monster storm swirling around the state hammered parts of the county, with a nearby city recording 19 inches of snow.
