2 fire trucks collide on same call, department investigates

Officials will not discuss any disciplinary action that those aboard the trucks might face

TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Fire Department is investigating after two fire trucks crashed into each other while responding to the same call.

The incident happened Sept. 25.

Fire Capt. Stan May tells 2NEWS the crews were both responding to a situation at the downtown AT&T building. Shortly before they arrived, however, they crashed at the intersection of 7th and South Elgin Avenue. May says eight firefighters were involved, with four on each truck. Those firefighters were all sent home the day of the accident but returned for their next scheduled shifts.
