CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two firefighters involved in a fire truck crash last month were disciplined.
WCNC reported that the Charlotte Fire Department fire truck overturned last month while responding to an emergency call.
The department suspended the driver without pay for two weeks and the onboard captain was suspended without pay for one week, according to the report.
Four firefighters were on board at the time and were treated for minor injuries.
Speed was determined to be a factor in the crash.
All vehicle operators will be required to complete an emergency vehicle operations course by the end of the year, according to the report.
