MUNSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Three Munson Township firefighters were hurt Thursday afternoon when the aerial rig they were in collided with two passenger vehicle.
One firefighter is listed in critical condition, several news agencies reported. Two other firefighters were taken to the hospital; their condition was not reported.
According to NewsNet5, one vehicle pulled over for the responding rig that was running a mutual-aid call. A second driver did not see the parked vehicle in time to stop and swerved into the on-coming lane, hitting the fire truck head on.
Munson Township Fire Department has both full- and part-time firefighters and EMTs and covers a 25-square mile area southeast of Cleveland.
