DALLAS — A Dallas Fire-Rescue truck was involved in a multi-vehicle crash Thursday morning.
Authorities were called just before 11 a.m. to the 5700 block of North Jim Miller Road, near the Interstate 30 service road in Far East Dallas.
Jason Evans, a Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman, said the fire engine was headed to a nearby structure fire when the crash occurred. A pickup and a sedan also were involved in the accident.
The sedan’s driver was hospitalized with injuries that weren’t life-threatening, Evans said. Two firefighters were taken to a hospital for precautionary reasons, and were treated and released Thursday afternoon.
The fire engine caught fire after the crash, but it was quickly extinguished, Evans said.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
