ORLANDO, Fla. — An Orlando fire truck heading to a fire was involved in an accident on Thursday evening in Orlando, according to officials.
The accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Curry Ford Road near Dixie Bell Drive, which is just east of Semoran Boulevard.
It involved the fire truck and three other vehicles. Three people from the other vehicles were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, fire department officials said.
No firefighters were hurt.
The truck had its lights and sirens activated when the accident happened.
It had front-end damage and will be out-of-service while it’s being repaired. It’s not clear how much the damage was, officials said.
Details of how the crash occurred were not available.
Orlando police is investigating.
