VIGO COUNTY, Ind. — A fire truck crashed while en route to a fire Saturday morning.
WIBQAM.com reported that the Prairieton Fire Department fire truck was traveling in heavy rain and low visibility when the crash occurred. The truck got too close to the edge of a road and slid off.
The firefighter driving the truck, who was not seriously hurt, had to be extricated from the rig.
The fire truck was towed from the scene and homes in the area lost power due to the crash.
