JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. — Four firefighters escaped injury after their fire truck rolled onto its side Saturday afternoon.
FOX59 reported that the White River Township (Ind.) Fire Department rig was hauling a trailer loaded with rescue boats. An oncoming car crowded the center line and as the fire truck moved over to avoid contact, the back tire of the truck slipped off the roadway.
All four firefighters were wearing seatbelts and suffered minor injuries. They were treated and later released.
Firefighters were getting their rescue boats and equipment ready in anticipation of a large amount of expected rainfall.
The crash remains under investigation.
