DANVILLE, Va. — Danville Police are investigating seven reports of rocks being thrown at moving vehicles over the weekend.

One of those was a Danville fire engine on its way to an emergency call. That engine had to pull over and call for another one to respond. Around 3 Sunday morning, an engine from Station 5 was responding to an emergency call.

When the engine drove by Clement Avenue in Danville, firefighters say they saw people run across the street. Then someone threw pieces of cement at the engine. One of the pieces of cement hit the door and a window on the engine.
