Tenn. fire truck overturns; 2 firefighters hurt

They both suffered minor injuries and were said to be wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash

HARRIMAN, Tenn. — Two firefighters suffered minor injuries Tuesday afternoon when their fire truck ran off the road and overturned.

WBIR.com reported firefighter Travis May, 19, who was driving the rig, and firefighter Ty Puckett, 21, were in the truck when it over-corrected and turned onto its top. It reportedly slid for over 100 feet, according to Local 8 Now.

Both were taken by ambulance to a hospital for minor injuries. They were both said to be wearing their seat belts, according to the report.

The truck and the firefighters are with the Midtown (Tenn.) Volunteer Fire Department.
