HOCKESSIN, Del. — A woman was just freed after her arrest when she stole a fire company pickup truck at county police headquarters, crashed in a hit-and-run and tried to return the truck as a horse patrol officer pursued her, police said Wednesday.
Cuve Harding, 43, of Hockessin, was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, theft greater than $1,500, theft under $1,500 and two counts of attempted theft under $1,500, Officer First Class Tracey Duffy said Wednesday. Delaware State Police also charged her with a variety of traffic offenses in the hit-and-run crash.
Harding was committed to Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution near New Castle after failing to post $5,000 secured bail.
