ST. LOUIS — A woman is facing charges after crashing into a parked fire truck while driving drunk.
KSDK reported that Carrie Robbins, 41, accelerated her car before ramming into a parked fire truck where firefighters were training in October 2016.
The woman admitted to witnesses that she had consumed alcohol and was trying to kill herself. The blood-alcohol test showed her BAC was 0.175.
One firefighter was injured in an attempt to dive out of the way, and one suffered a torn rotator cuff.
Robbins was charged with second-degree vehicular assault, first-degree property damage and third-degree assault on emergency personnel.
