RIDGELY, Md. — Two men were charged this week for stealing SCBAs from a volunteer fire department.
George Cohey, 67, and Kyle Ober, 21, were previously arrested last November for impersonating emergency responders. Upon further investigation, officials found the two also had several stolen SCBAs from the Ridgely Volunteer Fire Department in their possession.
Officials allege Cohey sold the gear to Ober, who knew they were stolen. The equipment is valued at $4,900, reported WMDT.
Both men face up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
