BELL COUNTY, Ky. — Two men were arrested Saturday after authorities said they shot at a group of Bell County Volunteer Fire Department firefighters who were responding to a vehicle fire.
The man firing at them went back inside the home and troopers tried to talk to him by phone and loud speaker, but were unsuccessful, according to an NBC News report. Fortunately, no firefighters were struck.
Troopers surrounded the house and a special response team was activated.
Chemical agents were tossed inside the home, and two men came out of the home and were placed into custody without further incident, according to the report.
Vance Miller,44 and David Lefevers, 37, were both charged with wanton endangerment.
