DAKOTA CITY, Neb. — A 42-year veteran firefighter died Sunday after suffering a heart attack.
Lowell Satterwhite, 68, with the Dakota City Fire Department, responded to a call Saturday morning and returned home to sleep later that day, reported USFA.
Satterwhite was transported to the hospital following the attack, where he was pronounced dead Sunday morning.
Satterwhite’s visitation and funeral services will be held Wednesday and Thursday, according to the Nebraska Serious Injury and LODD Response Team’s Facebook page.
