SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento Fire Department crews responded to a tree down between houses in the Pocket area.
When firefighters got to the scene about 8 a.m. on May 23, 2023, they found it had crashed down on a dog house, a video shows.
“Crews were able to successfully retrieve the dog and reunite it with its family,” the fire department said in a tweet.
Crews had to cut the tree into sections to get the dog out. After opening a big enough hole, a firefighter was able to reach in and pull the dog out.
