WAXAHACHIE, Texas — A fire department is celebrating after 15 babies were born in the span of a year.

“Don’t drink the water at the Waxahachie Fire Department,” a Facebook post about the births said.

Firefighter wife Allison Duwe said the baby boom “just happened” and was “definitely not planned.”

Fellow firefighter wife Courtney Brown decided to document the achievement by taking a big group photo, which has been shared on Facebook more than 700 times.

“I just thought it would be a lot of fun to get them all together to document a big year of growth,” Brown said.

Firefighter Jay Wilemon said the new babies have formed a stronger bond within the department.

“It does play well into family life,” Wilemon said. “We all pretty much share the same problems, concerns, joys on the home front and then we come to work and get to share that with our second family.”

The department said they’re considering taking the photos a step further with a calendar.
