La. volunteer firefighter killed in motorcycle crash

HAUGHTON, La. — A volunteer firefighter died Wednesday afternoon following a motorcycle crash.

KSLA reported that volunteer firefighter LaBryan J. Dotson, 30, with the Bossier Parish Fire District, was driving his motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a curve, crossed both lanes and traveled through a ditch before striking a concrete culvert.

Firefighter Doston, who was wearing a helmet at the time, was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries, according to the report.

State Police say the investigation is ongoing, and toxicology samples were taken and will be sent off for testing, according to the report.

Dotson was a volunteer firefighter of 10 years for Bossier Parish Fire District #1.
