MOSCOW, Russia — Two firefighters died Tuesday after rescuing several residents from a burning apartment building.
Firefighter Close Calls reported that company officer Michael Fomin and firefighter Alexander Gruevski were part of a crew that was battling a blaze at a 16-story apartment building.
The firefighters rescued several residents from the building and were returning to rescue more when they became trapped by wind-driven fire conditions in the hallway.
