Thieves break into 16 firefighters’ vehicles, steal guns

Miami Beach Fire Rescue Station 4 and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Station 7 were targeted

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Thieves broke into 16 firefighters’ vehicles while they were parked at two different stations, according to police.

ABC10 reported that thieves targeted both Miami Beach Fire Rescue Station 4 and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Station 7 early Friday morning. At Station 4, windows were smashed and thieves stole personal property such as firearms.

No items were stolen from the vehicles at Station 7.

Police said that although the two crimes are similar, they don’t believe they were related.
