MIERES, Spain — Eight firefighters posed nude Thursday in a town in Spain to protest against public sector wages cuts and tax increases.
The crew emerged from their firehouse in Mieres wearing just their fire helmets and boots, before lining up against a wall with their backsides to the media in attendance.
“With so many cuts we have been left naked,” read a banner on the wall above them.
One of the protesting firefighters said, “Eight firefighters who show their ass are worth more than a protest through the streets against the cuts.”
