SPRING BRANCH, Texas — Folks in one local community are wondering: who is the REAL fire department? A power struggle in the community of Spring Branch has led to a confusing standoff: two separate organizations with similar names, both claiming to be the fire department.
News 4 WOAI Trouble Shooter Jaie Avila investigated who has the authority to respond to emergencies, and who’s been getting the donations meant for firefighters.
Many of us make donations to support our local fire department, and some departments sell memberships to raise cash. However residents of spring branch recently found out the department asking for and accepting their money no longer fights fires.
