ROCKY MOUNT, Va. — A three-day trial in a case that involved the death of two firefighters is scheduled to start Monday morning.
WSET reported that the case stems back to July 2010. Officials say that afternoon, Teri Anne Valentine hit a fire truck in her SUV – causing it to roll three times, according to the report.
Two volunteer firefighters, William Altice, 67, and Posey Dillon, 59, were thrown from the fire truck and killed, according to the report. Firefighter Dillon who was driving the fire truck at the time was also the fire chief.
The plaintiff, Christia Altice-Weaver says Valentine and Dillion were both “grossly negligent” at the time of the accident, according to the report. Altice-Weaver is the daughter of firefighter Altice.
