TEXARKANA, Ark. — Three volunteer fire departments were broken into and someone attempted to pry open the door of a fourth Wednesday night.
Arkansas Online reported that the break-ins were located at the Miller County Satellite Station 8, Genoa Volunteer Fire Department, Booker Bridge station and Boggy Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
“Miller County sheriff’s office responded to calls from four volunteer fire departments reporting burglary, theft and criminal mischief,” investigator Wesley Penny said. “Items reported stolen include Motorola portable radios used for public safety, two MSA air packs, an air compressor, chain saws and a 50-inch TV.”
Nothing was reported missing from the department that had a door pried open.
