EDMONTON, Alberta — About $30,000 worth of firefighting equipment was stolen from a volunteer fire department in Canada earlier this month.
Global News.ca reported stolen items from the Innisfree Fire Department included a generator, thermal camera, leaf blower, a saw and cutters and spreaders.
The department was without cutters and spreaders for about a week, according to the report.
“We were lucky that our county fire chief replaced it quickly,” Deputy Chief Dean Lindballe said.
There have been a string of thefts in the area recently, but police currently have no suspects.
