Battalion Chief Nathan Huffman said the crewmembers first secured the 18-wheeler and then used a ladder to get the driver out.
"He was very appreciative," Huffman said. "He was very thankful. He did have a lot of kind words to say to our members, and it was nice to be able to rescue him, and he was unharmed."
Spring Fire Department crewmembers assisted.
The Texas Department of Transportation inspected the bridge and said it is structurally safe.
The crash is being investigated.
