WILLIAMSPORT, Md. — Bystander video of a house fire in Williamsport showed the moment firefighters rescued an occupant trapped on the roof of a burning house.
Video from Erik OBrien, owner of Mile Marker 99 Bicycle Shop, posted by Williamspost Volunteer Fire EMS, captured the rescue during the fire on April 4.
The Facebook group Washington County MD Fire Calls stated that Williamsport Assistant Chief 2 arrived at the fire on East Salisbury Street and reported a person trapped on the roof.
Truck 2 firefighters used their aerial ladder to rescue the person.
A bedroom fire with extension was quickly extinguished.
