This week’s Photo of the Week comes from the Los Angeles County Fire Department, showing a message of gratitude from residents of a community threatened by the 31,000-acre Lake Fire.
The letter board at the Lakes Community Center in Lake Hughes thanks first responders battling the blaze for protecting the community from another crisis.
The Lake Fire was 70% contained with more than 1,000 personnel assigned as of Wednesday afternoon, according to the L.A. County Fire Department.
