HARRISBURG, Pa. — A bystander caught harrowing video of a trapped firefighter escaping a two-alarm house fire in Harrisburg on Thursday.
Cody Weber was showing the scene via Facebook Live as firefighters first arrived at the scene. Firefighters can be seen setting up a ladder to the third-floor window of the residence as black smoke and flames billowed out.
About a minute and a half into the video, the firefighter is seen coming down the ladder upside down before flipping over and descending safely.
Harrisburg fire chief Brian Enterline said the firefighter was evaluated at the scene and went back to fighting the blaze. All firefighters were also briefly pulled out of the house to make sure everyone was safe.
No injuries were reported. Firefighters were able to rescue a cat and dog from the residence.
