CECIL, Pa. — Crews remain on the scene of a blaze at a pretzel company facility in Washington County that took a dozen fire companies six hours to get under control.

No injuries were reported from the fire at Pretzels Inc. on Swihart Road in Cecil.

Washington County’s 911 center was alerted at 6:08 a.m. to a fire alarm at the facility.

That was followed by a caller from the company who said the building was on fire. Police arriving at the scene found heavy fire, a 911 supervisor said this afternoon.

Firefighters did not get the fire under control until noon.

The 911 supervisor did not have any information on the extent of damage to the facility.

Later in the afternoon all but two fire companies had left.

The fire remains under investigation by Cecil police and fire officials as well as a Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal.
