TERANG, Australia — A firefighter who was helping to battle a wildfire took a break to quench the thirst of a koala.
The Standard reported that the firefighter was part of a crew that was helping contain a wildfire that forced hundreds to evacuate when he found the koala on the road.
Another firefighter captured the exchange from within the fire truck, and the koala can be seen drinking from the firefighter’s water bottle.
The video brought about memories of Sam the Koala, whose story when viral after he was rescued by a firefighter in 2007 from the Black Saturday bushfires.
The Terang fire was contained, although 26 homes were destroyed and the community lost about 10,000 of their livestock.
