JIAXING, China — A firefighter is being hailed a hero after making a dramatic rescue at an apartment fire Saturday.
GlobalNews.ca reported that firefighters were called to the burning building and found a woman hanging out of a sixth-floor window. In the video, the woman loses her grip and falls. A firefighter leaning out from the window below, grabbed the woman’s leg and pulled her to safety.
“I just attempted to catch her, and pulled her into the building with the help of my partners,” firefighter Jiang Tiancai said.
Moments after the dramatic rescue, crews caught the woman’s daughter who dropped from another window.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the two suffered any injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
